"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 

2 Corinthians 5:17

     Zombies are pretty fascinating creatures--that is, they would be if they were real. The dead coming back to life... what an idea! A scary but somewhat exciting idea. Just remember to aim for the head and don't miss.

     What a joy it is that we are dead to our old selves. We are dead to sin, dead to evil, and dead to human desires. We no longer have to deal with the worries of the mortal world because we become immortal. We were made in the image of God, and like Christ, we have symbolically been resurrected to be made pure and whole in Him. When we have died to ourselves, then and only then can we rise to be the undead zombies of God who hunger for more of Him.

     Today I encourage you to be a zombie for God. Hunger for His righteousness. Thirst for obedience to Him. He desires you more than you can comprehend. He delights in you, and you are his treasure. So chase after Him--like the zombies in I Am Legend rather than in The Night of the Living Dead. Run quickly toward Him and he will greet you with open arms.
